My 84 300 SD latley has been shifting hard. Its only been doing this in second and sometimes third gears. Anything I might be able to adjust or is this something I need to take to my mechanic. Or is this even a problem. Please help if you can.

Does it happen when you first start driving it and stops after a while or everytime? I usually use a mechanic on some of that, but sometimes they say there is not too much they can do. Have you done a filter/fluid change on the tranny recently? Could need a service too???
