Fuse #11 Blowing in '83 300sd (W126)

Hi,
I have a 1983 Mercedes 300 SD and fuse #11 blows when I start the car.
#11 controls the heater blower, ac compressor/blower, and idle regulator?
Does anyone have any ideas why this is happeing and what I can do to resolve this?

First try unplugging the air conditioner. There is an electrical plug on the a/c unit (look under the driver side front bumper). See if it blows ( i had a similar problem).
Be sure the push button climate controls are not pushed. If the a/c plug does not solve it, my next suggestion is to replace the push button controls.

(I actuall have this same car but after the transmission went, I have it as a spare parts car).

I will try unpluging the AC unit and I know where the plug is. Also, what did you do with the AC after you unplugged it? Did you get it to work?

If that does not work, I will check the buttons. Also I read somewhere it could be the heater/AC blower that could be blowing the fuse as well. Fortunately I have a parts car and I can try several other things. I have to pull the dash board off to replace the wood paneling, so it should be accessible.

In any case, I will respond to you with any more questions or let you know the end results.
