Hello. I am a brand new forum member and this is my first post here. I just bought a 1992 300D turbo diesel. I may shine it up and sell it, but I may keep it. It's a nice car. 108,xxx mi, parked since 2005 after my colleague's father had a stroke and couldn't drive it. Has a few old man marks on it, but it's not bad.

I have a question about the head lights. They look different than all the other 92's. They are one piece. European or something? I don't think you'll be able to see them well in my pics because I haven't even washed this car yet.

Also, it has a gold type trim around the windows. Is that stock? Or did someone pimp my new ride?

Is there any known problems or flaws with this year/model car?

Anyone running BioDiesel?

Anyone ever slap a bigger turbo on one? Would love to hear from you!

Lastly, anyone interested in buying this? I will post in the for sale section if I decide to seriously sell, but I'll always entertain offers. Barter?

Your headlights are neither Euro or Aftermarket headlights. They are stock... I had a 93 SD and currently have a 94 SL-both with the same headlights.

 

hey im new to this forum, i have a 300sd that's about to get sold and i just purchased a 1990 300d 2.5 turbo. whats the first thing i can do to make this 300d a little bit faster. i plan on putting lowering springs to improve the appereance as well as the performancebut i also wanted to see if i could get larger injectors, but i don't know which one's will fit on this motor. can someone help me out with this?

 

Thanks for the info! So, what kind of HP can these diesels push? WIth upgrades on the stock motor (injector pump, turbo, etc)
