Default Fenders

So my ex-wife's across the street neighbor backed into my car on the icy street today. I needed to replace the fender anyway, no big deal.

My question is does anyone know if the W123 coupe front fender is the same as the W123 4 door? My car is an '82 300CD.

Outstanding. So theoretically I can use a front fender from any W123 from 1976 to 1985. Is this correct?

If you wanted to save some money, you can get a hammer and dolly at harbor freight for cheap and get a lot of the dents out, then use some filler to fill in the remaining small parts of the dent, it will look new if you do a good job. Also if you want to do less work, I know people who use just fiberglass filler and don't bother to get the dent out, they just wipe the fender and sand it smooth. These are some options other than buying a new fender.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I already needed a new fender and it's not worth the time and effort for me to try to fix something I can simply replace and have good as new.
