engine conversion question?

Default engine conversion question?
I was wonderring if anyone knows if I could fit a turbo diesel from an 85 mercedes 300 d into a 1980 mercedes 300 d without turbo?

I was told by mercedes that there would be many modifications that need to be done. Could anyone think of what type of problems i might encounter?
