EGR 1985 300sd California
1985 300sd with California emission, the service campaign has been completed on the TRAP. I have a CAT now and not a TRAP.
Today I was troubleshooting some problem I have . The boost is a bit weak, I was looking at my vacuum lines and found out that the rubber tube connecting the vacuum line to the EGR is plugged up. It looks like there is a small metal ball inside. Looked like it had been done on purpose so I did not replace it.
Is this normal?
Is it part of the service campaign?
What is this vacuum line line for?
Thank you

Thank you for the answers,
I am working on the federal mod, trying to get all the parts I need. I am having some difficulties finding them.
Other quick question:
I want to replace the vacuum hose from the manifold to the Changeover switch/boost valve.
I went to mercedes and they are having a hard time getting me the right size tubing...
Every-time they have to order it and twice now it has been the wrong size (diameter too small ). Do you know what is the part number or where I can find this tubing (or equivalent) outside of the dealership?
Thanks
