e300 will not start
My 1996 e300 died the other day and it seemed like it was out of fuel. I added fuel and check the strainer and it was dry. after about 5 min it filled up but the car will not start.
i turned the motor over with the strainer out and i did not see any fuel flowing out of it. i blew back into the tank and that started the fuel to fill the strainer and flow out of the strainer cap.
checked the glow plugs and they seemed ok 9 to 10 ohms.
My old 300d i could just pull and it would start @ 20 mph.
Any Ideas?

After all of my research i am going to replace all my fuel lines and the shut off valve.
after visiting 4 sites looking for the parts i found only vendor that had all the parts.
any other suggestions?

had a similar problem not too long ago..turned out to be a leak in my fuel filter. I damaged it when I changed filter. No matter what I did at that time did not make the car start. A friend of mine sugested that I look for leaks and change my o rings and check hoses for air will accumulate over time. To make a long story short, I was able to fix the problem..I hope this info helps.
