I am looking to purchase a used MB. I have not owned one before. I already own a diesel truck. Given the numerous models and engines, I was looking for help to narrow the options down. My criteria:

$5k or less
Turbo diesel
Auto trans
Fuel economy city 25 mpg+ (primary city and some highway)
Moderate acceleration & power (given above restrictions)

Please advise.
