So i spent all day at the junk yard looking for a crank pressure regulating/sep piece to mount on my car.
I ran into a lot of these:

Mostly on 95-98 VW 2.0 Passat and Jettas (gasoline motors)
They were a bitch to remove and I broke like 3 before I gave up on these type. They are hard plastic with a rubber bushing at the bottom.
Then on my way out I spotted a 98 Passat that had this funny looking regulating valve waving at me on a semi demolished engine bay. This one I bought for $5 bucks. It was easy as hell to remove. What has me in doubt is that it was installed directly into an intake 4"-5" rubber hose that split into two directions, one into the air cleaner throttle body and the other somewhere under the bumper. Radiator was gone so it was hard to check where that cut line went to. I also dont know weather this was a gas or diesel model as a block and a few cut hoses is all that sat in the bay.

I also searched the hole yard for an Air REstriction Gauge but NOTHING!! I think late model cummins brings them OEM.?

The valves are common to the old 1.8L CIS gas engines.
Restriction gauges are cheap, you can buy them new for under $5.
