Hi, my 85 TD is suddenly continuing to run when I turn the ignition off. Last week, I was told that I need a new battery (I haven't replaced it yet) when I had the air filter replaced. In addition to this, the door locks now aren't working as they should - it's as if the vacuum system isn't fully operating. Only the driver door locks with the key now. Does this sound like a bad battery that I should replace, or do you think a vacuum hose was somehow disconnected?

You have a vacuum problem. Search the threads to find excellent suggestions to find and repair.
