ASR/BAS indicator light

ASR/BAS indicator light
I'm new this forum and hope someone can help me. My main question is "Can the sprinter intake air temperature sensor cause the ASR/BAS indicator light"? What I have it the 5 cyl diesel in a 2006 Winnebago View motorhome.
While driving in the White Mountains of New Hampshire the ASR/BAS
indicator light came on. I stopped and shut the engine off to see if it would correct the problem upon restart. Now the gear shift was also stuck in park. Inserting a pen at the lower portion of the shifter I was able to drive again. All seemed fine but the light was still on and the cruise also didn't work. A call to my Sprinter service shop got me an appointment a week from next Monday and a recommendation to return home. It continued to drive fine the remaining 100+ miles to get home.
I have a spare intake air temp sensor that I bought a couple years ago since I had heard these sometimes would go bad due to oil getting on them. Anyone think this might be the problem?
Thanks Alan
