I have begun to notice that my fuel gage on my 1991 350SD moves erratically to empty when the the level in the tank actually falls below 3/4 full. Is the sending unit in the tank going bad? If so, is it possible to repair without removing the tank? Other thoughts on what could possibly be the problem.
