I've been lurking around here for a while now knowing the 350 would be mine. I've learned a lot and thank you to all the contributors.

Just got home with the 1991 350 SDL -it's sweet and by far the best drive I've had in a sedan! 137,000 miles in excellent shape with crazy maintainance records. I'm lovin the sedan, it's 1st class all the way! Just thought I'd share the good news, and I'll let you all know if and when I throw a rod. The only issue that I know I've got: what I think is a bad parking switch because on occasion I have to put the car in neutral to get started. On the other hand, my Grandfather who previously owned the car had the drivers seat rebuilt and all the fluids and, filters changed for me. I can live with starting in neutral on occasion.

The only real questions I have after a week of ownership are:

1.) Is there some sort of gasket or seal on the transmission that needs regular service? I've noticed this has been replaced multiple times from receipts.

2.) The tie rods had also been replaced I think 3 times, is there an issue with these?

3.) 44K what is it and how does it work?
