I need to change my brakes pads on my 82TB MBZ, does the 82 have brake sensors???I amlooking forthe "Ceramics" pads because they arebest andI will alsoneed to change the rotor if I go from metalic to ceramic,my question is.. Is it worth it and which Brands is best fit and recommended? Thanks

 

What are you trying to get the car to do for you? Do you need more brake performance due to your driving requirementsand the need to maintain vehicle safety? If so then go with the upgrade but make sure the calipers are ready for the job.
If the calipers are performing nominally asseen by inspecting the pads for wear after removal (uniformly flatand exactly the same amount of wearon both inner and outer pads both left and right side of the car) then pads may be installed. Anything offnominal means caliper pins or seals/piston cleaning or master cylinder function.
The reason for the brake dust is simple. Pads are soft and cheap and easy to replace; rotors are not easy to replace. Hard metallic pads eat rotors. The pads last forever that's why some repair shops advertise them as life time pads. Too bad your rotors disappear instead.
