Default 85'300TD stalling

My 85 wagon I've had for 8 years has developed an issue.Starts up in cold or warmish out no problem. Now though when i put it into drive and begin to turn the wheel to get out of parking spot,Idle goes rough and drops and car will stall unless i put wheel back to center and let her just warm up for a good 3-4 minutes.also no-shut off with key problem is back but dont think related.
Any ideas?I know i need to adjust valves badly but dont know if related either.
Thanks,
Sam NYC

I had a similar problem with my 87 300D Turbo. Turned out that the rubber fuel line upstream from the pump was collapsing under suction. (Easy to replace.) I would disconnect the hose at the little primary filter, lower it to see how much fuel was coming out under gravity from the tank. It should give you a fair ideea about what is going on.

You also have A Screen in the Fuel Tank that sometimes gets plugged up.
