Hello, I have an 85 300TD and during a snow storm last week, my left wiper suddenly stopped working while I was on a highway in Virginia. Luckily the right wiper continued working, otherwise I'd be writing this from a hospital bed. Anyway, I've looked at the left hand one and there's still a minimal amount of power there when I turn the wipers on. It wants to move, but won't go anywhere. Any suggestions? Thank you.

 

Thanks for the quick response. I've looked at it and it's definitely loose on the left wiper versus the right, so hopefully I can figure out where the shaft nut is and tighten that. If you're logged on any time soon, can you let me know where it is or how to access it? I haven't figured that out yet, but will hunt around on the internet.

 

Update: I found a good youtube video that put me in the right direction for this. Although my car isn't the same model, I used a similar technique though I still needed a flathead slightly for it. Once off, it was a matter of tightening with a 1/2" inch and I'm back in business. Thanks again ForecInduction.
