Hi, I've heard that one way to increase performance on the 83 300sd was by adding an intercooler, but which size is appropriate? I'm not expecting "sports"car performance I just want to have a little more confidence when pulling into traffic...is the benefit noticable? Thanks

 

By adding fuel and boost, do mean adjusting the amount of fuel that goes into the engine? I haven't done this yet, but mechanic offered to do it, just decided to wait on the intercooler... well I don't know anything, so what are your suggestions for icreasing fuel and boost?

Thanks for the much needed advice.... I have one other question... the plastic fuel filter was clogged and I replaced it last week, but it looks really dirty again, How can I clean these sediments in the tank? do I just keep replacing the filters (kinda inexpensive) or siphon the tank and filter the diesel?
