I'm installing the Bosch FGK2 kit on my 76 240D. While looking online, I don't find a reference to the glow plug relay on the MB's with the gorilla ****.

When installing this kit on the earlier models with the gorilla ****, is the relay necessary? Is there even a glow plug relay on these vehicles, and, if so, where is it located? I can find some relays that look similar to a glow plug relay, but I'm not sure which it is.

The Bosch FGK2 includes:
Bosch Duraterm Glow plugs p/n 0 250 201 044
Bosch Relay 0 281 003 005
Wiring harness
The kit p/n is either FGK2 or 0 250 201 955
