Hello, All -
I'm about to look at a 1975 240 D, and was wondering about particular problem areas to look for -other than the infamous heater blower motor? haven't seen the car yet, just an local ad suggesting that it runs,and an asking price of $1000.
I'm a pretty good amateur mechanic,and love working on good machines, but am trying to do some homework before committing myself to something which might be a world of headache and heartbreak.
This would be a second car to do local shopping/errands in a rural community, so not looking for a deluxe ride, but want dependable wheels.
This site has given me some great insights and information already,so any further advice would be a bonus. Thanks!
