350SDL Injection Pump Service
For my 91 350SDL, I would like to remove the pump and have it serviced at a Bosch facility. I am having trouble finding any manuals or references on how to remove and then reinstall and time properly...is it the drip method as is done on the 5-cylinders? Any replies would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul.

RE: 350SDL Injection Pump Service
Thank you for the link and commentary.
Not leaking oil and not using oil, 250k miles, all injectors rebuilt and pop tested, system purged, no smoke but a little stinkier than usual. I hear a plop-plop-plop on idle so I am thinking that not enough fuel is being metered to one cylinder. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul.

RE: 350SDL Injection Pump Service
The intention was to have the pump inspected, not necessarily rebuild it.
The car has new engine mounts, new belt tensioner and shock.
Will check around the exhaust manifold, turbo, and intake as you have suggested this weekend...thanks.
