Default 300D water leak

Hi All,

I've got a 300D with water leak. We pulled the water pump and water pump housing but there are no clear leak paths apparent. There appear to be two possibilities:

(1) where the water pump housing mates to the block. We did not find any gasket on the housing or water jacket port.

(2) a single bolt hole in the block about an inch below the water pump housing. The bolt hole is threaded with the same thread size as the water pump housing but there was no bolt present. No indication as to what -- if anything -- was bolted up to that hole.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....

Yikes..

Can you shoot us a picture with the water pump on/off or something??

Even if none of us can tell you what the function is-- maybe one of us can compare, to show you what was SUPPOSED to be there..
