Have seen indications that it is to the effect of "inspect the motor", but how is this done?

Have removed every screw on the thing and the cover will not come off. Anyone know the secret to opening this thing up?

Antenna no longer raises and motor makes noises when 12V power is directly applied. Wanted to take a look inside to see what might be wrong.
