240d -300sd transmission throttle linkage?
Hello,
I have a 1980 240D. Someone else replaced the transmission with a 1982sd trasmission. I have everything installed except the throttle linkage. I found a throttle linkage sitting loose in the engine compartment. I see where the linkage attaches on the trans on the passenger side near the front. What I don't see is where it connects to the linkage. Is this even possible with this enginetrans combo? Any help or direction would be appreciated. I'm ready to get my baby back on the road!!!
Thanks,
Steve

I've found bowden cables for sale, but no indication on how it might attach. also since the 240D had the linkage, do i need to fabricate a new attachment point at the throttle linkage?
thanks again for all your help!

update: trans # reads 722 120 which seems to indicate a 1980 sd? eny help?
there is an attachment point on the passenger side of the trans near the front that the linkgage attaches, and I don't see where a bowden cable would fit. I attached the linkage and it appears to be about 3 inches too long. could I modify this old one and fab up my own new custom? it feels right. or should i find the proper linkage for this eng/trans combo if it exists?
thanks again, I'm starting to feel good about making this happen!!
