Have had dealer replace timing belt, tensioner, vacuum pump, and sprocket w/ vac cam after a vac pump bearing failure and chain jump at 135k. After assy the engine runs like cr*p with lots of noise and smoke when cold.


Injectors being checked now by dealer. I am trying to understand next steps to take.


Considering a) Compression test, or b) Leakage test, c) replace glow plugs.


But I am MOST INTERESTED in a quick and sequential step of steps to check injection (and even valve timing) that I can do if I get the car back. Need verification of 14.5 degree open of I pump and how to easily test.
