Hope all had wonderful holidays. Just have a question to all the experts out there on the value of a couple cars.

I am lookingat a 1983 300cdt with 180,000 miles. The interior and body are in very good condition. The engine sounds good the only thing is, the a/c is not working. They are asking $3750.00 for it.

I am also looking at a 1985 300dt with about 165,000 miles. They just recently painted it, so tho the body looks like it is in good condition, I am unsure if there will be any hidden rust. The interior is in very good condition and the a/c is working. Engine sounds good also. They are asking $2800.00 min.

What should I be on the lookout for on these cars before I buy? Is either asking price too much or about right? Any advise would be greatly appreciated and Thank You in advance.
