Has anyone heard if there will be a 2006 CDi?

 

My understanding is that not only will there be a 2006 E class cdi, but it will use a diesel V-6 instead of an in-line 6. A few more hp and ft/lbs of torque. That should hit this fall. Also read that there is talk of diesel cdi V-6 and V-8 in S-class offerings in US mid-2006 calendar year.

 

Let's hope DB will stick with in-line architecture for diesel engines. The inherent torque of in-line engines vs. similar displacement engines is especially appealing in diesel engines.
