Upgrading W203 audio?
I have original audio 10 (Becker BE6201) in my 2001 MB C200 CDI.
I'd like to make major upgrades. Here are my wants:
- Bluetooth Hands Free
- ipod connection
And optionally nice to have
- Navigation if possible
Any suggestions how I could do this?
Is it possible to install Becker cascade 7944 or
Indianapolis Pro 7950 in MB? Or any other
3rd party navi system with bluetooth?

RE: Upgrading W203 audio?
If you have a US spec W203 C-class, you can get a phone kit installed without too many problems because US specs come pre-wired for phone. If you have a Euro spec W203, chances are that it's not pre-wired for phone (unless the car comes with a factory fitted phone kit). Since you have a C200, yours isn't US spec.
You can ask your dealer to run your car's chassis number in their EPC to check whether or not it's pre-wired. Either way, you can get a (fully integrating) UHI phone kit installed, but there will be a difference in kit and installation then.
Aftermarket navigation units can be installed, but usually you won't be able to control them through the steering wheel buttons. You can definitely get an MB CD-rom comand installed, though, which will fully integrate with the car's audio system and steering wheel controls. You can also get an auxiliary input in combination with the comand unit, which can be used to connect an iPod to.
Do keep in mind, that you will only be able to control the volume from the comand unit (the iPod won't fully integrate).

^^^ you gotta be kidding! tom tom? I can't even say it without laughing.
I will recommend some Alpine gear though:
TME-M740BT
VPA-B222
NVE-N872a
KCE-415i
now that system gives you voice command and touchscreen control over everything and allows you to play audio/video through an iPod, and gives you bluetooth.
You can add all of these and more if you wish, CD Changer, DVD Changer, HD Radio, Satelite, USB, rear entertainment package.
It will be completely upgradeable as you go from vehicle to vehicle. Hey it is Alpine.
