Hello all,

I tried searching for this on the site but I couldn't find this question. So here it is!

2008 dealer installed i-Pod integration kit on a 2008 C-Class.

Things work great except I can't get the main menu of the i-Pod, the one with "settings" so I can set it to shuffle albums or songs.

Also, if I set it to "shuffle all", and then plug in the i-pod, and then go to the playlist through the car, the i-pod gets set back to non-shuffle.

The only way I can get it to shuffle songs is to use the "shuffle song" that is in the playlist menu, the one that shuffles every song on my i-pod and not just in a playlist.

I gotta be doing something wrong here...

Help?

 

Hi. On the I Pod make a play list and then plug in the I Pod and just click play the play list. The playlist can hold more music then you can listin to. It might work

 

I'm guessing you mean shuffle all?

That's the thing, I don't want my i-pod to shuffle all my music. Like if I'm in a jazz mood, I don't want my hip-hop to shuffle in, and vice versa.

I just want to shuffle the say, just classical music, or just jazz, or just hip-hop, etc etc. I can't get it to shuffle is my problem.

 

Not realy shuffle. What I mean is make a Playlist add what songs you want. Put then in the order you want. Or another idea select the songs by genre(I have a Zune and you can it by genre)

 

Yeah that sort of what I'm doing now. But everytime I get in the car I listen to the same first 5 songs. lol.

Well, I have an inquiry into my sales rep and he's trying to figure it out for me. We'll see how far he gets.

If it is a problem, I doesn't seem that hard to fix. Wouldn't be just a software update?

 

I dont know if it is softare issue. In fact I realy am not sure. I am thoue trying to think of an alternative.
