Default Phone for 2007 e350 + can you play DVD's on NAv system?

O.K. I just drove my new E350 home now I want to figure out what to do about a phone... Unfortunately, I use NEXTEL & the family uses SPINT. I'm told they don't work with the pre-wired phone system installed as part of my premium package. So what to do?.
Audio Wireless is NOT HELPFUL!. The DEALER is NOT HELPFUL!.
Since I will use my NEXTEL BLACKBERRY (COMPANY PHONE) for most outside of the car calls - I'm thinking it would be better for me to buy a cradle as the new phone will sit and not be moved. Better Reception and Battery Life I'm told.
BUT WHAT PHONE?. WHAT SERVICE?. WHAT CRADLE?. I gave up VERIZON recently because it doesn't work in our neighborhood. I'm told Cingular does - but since I have NEXTEL I can always use my other phone if I"m in a bind in the neighborhood.
SO WHICH CARRIER?. WHICH PHONE? and do i have to buy from AUDIO WIreless?. They say I run the risk that the software on the phones sold be a wirelless company may not work... What do you think?. IS EBAY AN OPTION?. a slightly used phone?. Cradle.. Again this phone will sit in the armrest and not be moved.... I just want it to do all it's supposed to do...
THANKS!!!!.
