I added amp and sub for my 99 clk320. My RCA is connected from my amp to a converter to my rear speakers. I tried hooking the remote wire to the cd-changer, but then my amp stays on constant. Do you know where I can hook my remote wire to? I am trying to keep everything in the trunk.

I have bose sound system, so where exactly is my stock amp?

i don't understand this.

 

there are 3 connections on my aftermarket amplifier: power, ground, and remote

where can i hook the remote wire to so i can get a signal to when my amp turns on. supposingly i can hook that to the radio or ingition, but i will need to drag the remote wire to the front. i'm trying to find a connection somewhere in the trunk, possibly to the stock amp.

am i able to splice the wires to the stock amp, because i heard something about fiber optics?
