Default Navi trouble

Hello ... im new at youre place here and wonders if u might can help med. I have an E55 AMG -00 with command. The Navi doesnt work as i should. It says it cant read the navi cd. But when i been driving for a while suddenly it works . It seems like the car needs to be really warm before the navi is working.
Most of the times it doesnt work. A text comes up that says " cant read cd".
Is the laser dirty or is it something else ? Can it be cleened ?. i have an cd from mercedes and not an homemade. Thanks for help.

It seems like the problem is the laser. But i´m only gessing... Most of the times it doesn´t work. But if i drive the car for say an hour , when i then press the navi button it can work. But most of the times it says " cant read the cd". The record im using is an original and not any copy. Its from 2007 and has no scratches on it.
anyone who has the same problem and know what to do... ??

I had a problem with my navi in my last car and I had it repaired at Midwest Electronics. I see they are factory authorized for Mercedes also. http://www.midwestelectronics.com/mercedes.html

You may want to give them a call.
