MP3 player (not Ipod) with AUX Input
Just got a '06 E350 wagon. I located the AUX Input in the glovebox (top center) and it works fine. My issue is controlling the MP3 player. As it is not 'integrated' as the Ipod would be I need to use the controls on the MP3 player itself. However the MP3 player will be shut in the glovebox. Any chance anyone has relocated or extended the AUX input jack to another location to allow the MP3 player to be out in the cabin with you? Or is there a way to route a mini-stereo cable from within the glovebox to the cabin? I think I can get the glovebox closed with the cable hanging out but it won't close easily and I don't want to cause any damage.

reouting of the mini stereo jack is easy, though the route you choose will dictate its degree of difficulty. what parts you'll need to remove or loosen as you lay out the cable will determine complexity. i've read where others have relocated to, the center console, for example. check the other MB forums.
