does anyone know where the factory bose amplifier is located in a 1999 ML320?
any help would be great

I have a 2002 E320. Mine is located in the trunk, behind the "material", above the wheel well. Hope this helps.

 

It is under the drivers side dash. I have seen post that place it above the gas pedal, but the ones I have bypassed are to the left of the steering column. It is way up there, and not in plain site. It is all the way up, in the corner against the firewall. If you pull back the black sound proof material, you will see it. It looks like an aftermarket amp. It is held in with one 10mm bolt at the bottom. The speaker wires are twisted. The ones I did used the same colors for left and right, so use a tone generator, or small battery to find left and right, front and rear. On the ones I worked on, the pinks and blues were the positives. Hope this helps.
