I recently fitted the ipod harness into my clk55 amg 2005 facelift model, it was fiddley but not to difficult to do. I dont have a problem with sound levels but did research this subject before i went ahead. Mercedes do sell a line amp to over come this issue which can be bought from commandonline.co.uk for about £20. Mercedes call the item a MB-IPOD-LINEAMP I dont know the part number as I didnt require one, hope this helps you all. Apparantly I'm toldthe sound level issue does not occur with the harmon kardon system which I have and can confirm this on my model car. I have connected it to the aux and it works perfectly, the lead cost me €2.40, the mercedes kit costs over €400

 

I agree with litrona1 when you update iPod intergration. It's easy and convenient when you use it. Nice day

 

I am thinking of having the Audio 20 retrofitted has anyone got a pdf manual or any experience of this model, or can anyone suggest another model/make that suits better please
