Default General Telephone Question

Just bought an '02 c320 wagon. It has Command with Nav, and originally had a phone installed, but it was removed before I bought it from the dealer.

I see phones on Ebay, in cdma Verizon, but none seem to mention the proper cradle for the car, which I will also need.

What exactly do I need to buy? Is there more to the missing parts than just the cradle that fits in the top console and plugs in? Anyone point me in the correct direction for a purchase?

Thanks!

My advice is to dump the MB phone. I had the dealer pull mine out of the car before I bought it and throw it away. My '01 E-Class was still analog. Not worth the money. Carry a cell on yourself, or put it in the center console.

You could consider the UHI phone kit; there are several cradles compatible with this kit...

First of all only the wiring and the antenna is there, you need a proprietary phone made for Mercedes to work in the installation once you pick a carrier you are stuck with your choice. You need a cradle, a splitter , a support mdule, and a steering column stem if you want to talk handsfree. You will also need some assorted cables, probably a little less $1500, there was a v60 kit available for a little more money. The dealer is the only source and since it has to interface with the fiber optic system. They have to program it into your system, be leary of ebay systems since you dont know what you are getting. It all dpends on what was removed and what support modules you might (or not) are still in the car either way a normal Timeport or V60 will charge but not work!

...erm... dealer is not (always) the only option. Like I said before, UHI may be a solution.

The following cradles will be compatible with the UHI kit:
siemens S55, C55, M55 - US C56, US M56, US S56
siemens S45, ME45, C45, M50, MT50 - US M46, US S46
Sony - Ericsson T610, T630, US T616 - US T637
Motorola V60i
Nokia 6310i
Nokia 6100, 6610, 7250
Nokia 6220, 6230 - US 6200

And FYI, we are now able to offer a complete self installation kit for US spec W203s. If you want to know more about it, please contact us at info@mbenznl.com.

greetingz,

BigSis
