Easiest Way to Add On Aux to W203
I have a 2002 C320 w/the factory head unit. I would like know the easiest way to add on an auxilliary feature, without having to solder/hack up the tape unit (b/c I don't have the skills).
It has been suggested that as an alternative, the cheapest, easiest way is to add on a wired FM modulator via the antenna. However, I havebeen toldthat MB uses a different antenna plug.
Can someone please walk me throug how to add an auxilliary feature or install a wired FM modulator. Please cite what parts are needed and include photos if possible.
Thanks,

RE: Easiest Way to Add on Aux to W203
Do you know if you have the factory wired auxilliary connector? You can check by removing the passenger side door sill, move the carpet out of the way and look for a white connector with nothing connected to it. If you have that you should be able to order the connector to mini-jack that mounts on the right side of your glovebox. Typically if you remove the outer glovebox panel you should see a little pre-cut "plug" that you can remove and snap the factory mini-jack into. If not, call some different stereo shops in your area and ask them about installing the FM modulator. Sorry I don't have the part number but any MB parts/service dept. should be able to tell you.
