Hope you can help a confused newbie.

I have recentrly purchased a 2001 model E220 cdi Auto with the factory fit integrated phone.

Seems to take 6210/6310. The 6310 fits if you remove a small adaptor (which is for the 6210 only).

Have tried 6310i in the holder which charges but is not recognized by the car/radio. The radio does not mute and the display on the dash says NO PHONE. It also flashes up with BT CELLNET and my handset is ORANGE.

What can be done, any ideas as to where and how much would be appreciated.

I assume that the care needs to be recofigured to recognize the new phone and provider?

Any help much appreciated.
