HELP ! I've just acquired a 300TE 4Matic from an estate. It is an
incredible set of low miles wheels - with very few exceptions. My
300 has the original Becker am/fm/cst - which doesn't work very
well (the tape not at all.) I have an opportunity to obtain a Becker
(am/fm/cst model #1432 . serial # C 9737481) with a cd unit (#
MX3192). The face of my Becker & the one I am looking at, ap-
pear identical & the "new candidate" comes with all the mounting
hardware, wiring, etc. <It came from a '93 500 SL.> I stopped
by the local MBZ dealership with all the data & no one could tell
me whether or not the @1432 + the CD unit would fit my 300TE,
& of course no stereo stores in town are wanting to assist, unless
selling a new after-market system. CAN ANY ONE please assist
with this question resolution? Also - I remain certain the speakers
are on need of replacement. Is one better to replace with original
speakers -or- is there a better more recent option ? My grille cov-
ers aren't as nice as I'd like them to be ; what is the best solution
for finding theirreplacement(s), as well? As a MBZandForum
neophyte ... any assistance and encourage and wisdom shared is

The BE1432 was made for 1991 - 1993 models. If that's yours, it will work. If not, it won't. Did you get the tuner module with the head unit?
