91' 190E code problem

Default 91' 190E code problem

Hi i bought a 190E 91' mercedes like a month ago and have a serious problem with my stereo... i don't know the code and when i took it to the mercedes benz agency in Tijuana, MX they told me to get the serial number of the stereo which i did ... it is ...S/No. AL2190A0626285 and the numbers below it are M6X8MMMAX... ok and the thing is that supposely they called me telling me that they had the code already and i went and they couldn't make it work... the guy just put the 5 numbers or 4 i don't remember and this sound would just come up and he couldn't make it work... he told me he had to buy a manual to know how to put the code and ummm the guys at the mercedes want a lot of money for the damn code... so can any of yous help me out in this one plz ? i could even give you the vin if you need it ...alright thx bye[/align]

i took a radio from a 1998 to the dealer parts department and i got the code for free

is very sinple to enter the code if you get code 54612 you enter this way


preset 1 press 5 times
preset2 press4 times
preset3 press 6times
preset4 press1 time
preset5 press2 times


after that press the am/fm button if you make a mistake you have to wait from 30 minutes to sometimes 4 hours to enter the code again
