Default 190E radio install

i am gettign a 190E 1990 next week (straight trade for my cavalier) the only thing bugging me is the radio in the benz wich simply do s**ks!

is it simple to hook an aftermarket radio in these cars ? I currently have an all alpine/MBquart system in the cavalier i am removing before the trade, I would like to install the headunit wich is an alpine cdm-7874 in the mercedes in the week im getting he car. (stock decker unit)

another question is: would it be simpler to hook only the 12 volt, ignition power ground and antenna on the radio than amping the speakers ?

You should have no problem installing aftermarket stereo. Amp is a must.

Its easy to install an aftermarket head unit on these cars if you know what youre doing. Crutchfield has harnesses so you dont have to cut/splice any wires. If you dont go that route, just cut off the factory plugs and match up the wires to the head unit. Its pointless to run an amp to 4" coaxials. Unless you have bigger speakers or they can handle more power, then I would recommend an amp to them.
