I have just joined the forum and was wondering if somebody could advise me as I am about to buy either a ML320 or ML430 for my partner. We do not have a great deal to spend £3000 - £4000 but I was wondeing which is the better model to go for and if there were any ongoing faults to look for.
Any advice would be more than appreciated as we don't want to buy a problem and spend £thousands£ as we had this trouble with a VW Beetle

Hi John,
Both of them have same problems, engine displacement does not make any diference, even the gas/millage is very close so in my opinion, I would go for more torque on ML430. http://repairpal.com/cars/mercedes-benz/ml320 Expect all of the common problems listed to show up sooner or later.
