I recently bought a 1998 mercedes benz e320 with 120k miles on the engine. I want to know if the battery will go bad soon, and if it will, will there be a warning telling me that?

If I need to change the battery do i need to plug in the jumper at the cigarette lighter before I disconnect the battery?

Also, how many more miles can I put on the engine before it leaks and transmission slips?
