Default Telephones & Blue tooth & Craddles

Hi all.

I have just purchased a new SLK350 and love it.

My only problem I don’t seem to be able to get sorted is the Hands free telephone.

I had the car pre-wired for a phone cradle, however there isn’t a cradle for my phone a Samsung D500 !

The Command has a blue tooth function and this will pair with my Samsung D500 but after that it appears pretty functionless.

Questions;

1- Can you use a blue tooth phone in new merc and how?
2- Is there a third party cradle or similar for other telephone as Mercedes don’t list many.

Any help is gratefully received.

Paul.

Hi Sleepwalker.

Thanks for the fast reply.

Do you know what Motorola's are OK with the Mercedes Bluetooth?

If you have any web URL's for me to look at it would be great.

I have asked a Mercedes dealer in the UK about the blue tooth and they know less that my Sister! That bad.

Its a shame the Merc Bluetooth has not been made so that it will work with more phones via a "Bluetooth Craddle" or similar.

I can't belive that Mercedes don't have a universal Bluetooth system and they rely on bespoke craddles that fit just one phone type.

siemens CX 65 looks better but no bluetooth.
