Default new and a few quick ?'s

so i have been reading up on stuf. turbos pump mods etc. but currently i am getting ready to rebuild.

what i have not been able to find. is if i can hone a good block to install new rings.

if the bores are good and not showing any scoring. can i get away with a quick ball hone. so the new rings will seat?

Thanks for the reply. Looks like the 617 i got has good rings. Going to do a compression test as well. But runing cold in 32* weather it fired up and had little to no blow by. Same when at temp too. But will follow up with a comp test before it goes in my jeep.

Some other questions. Would there be any point to running a ip from a newer than 1979 300d? Also worth it to get my mits on a non turbo intake? If i plan to run a intercooler.

From what i read the fuel and turbo can support 12psi boost. So id like to aim for that. Also is that realistic?
