Default SLK Safety

Hi Everyone!! I've been reading through the forum. I'm actively looking at the new SLK (r171). Great car - but one thing is holding me back. I'm looking for better / any safety data on the car. I've been balancing this against a Corvette which, surprisingly, has a really good safety history.

Any help would be very welcome!!

Thanks!

Rates preety good in all the tests I researched. Not that I am willing to test mine.
Search crash tests on Google.

Mercedes cars are crash tested to the highest rating! Safety, comfort and luxury is a Mercedes character. Check my car at : http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2053478

You should check third party test results. Auto manufacturer tests tend to show their cars' strengths using mostly full frontal impacts, where third party tests tend to show the cars' weaknesses. For example, look for frontal offset impact, side impact, and rear end impact test results.

I assume so - but still - before buying a 3,400 lb car, I'd really like to have more information than they put out. Nice pics of the Crossfire. Great car - did you get the Nav? Does it work well?
