Default Rear seats in R Class

My wife and I are considering an R; however, we are not sure it will work out for our large family. Is it possible toorder an R Classthat comes withsecond row captain seats with no folding armrests and no center console, so that children may walk between the seats to access the third row? Due to baby seats, we cannotfoldthe second row seats forward to access the third row. Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

The R Class is standard without the center console although you can order it. My sons actually prefer to be in the seats in the very back on the vehicle when we travel and they both have extremely large carseats. I have found the R very versatile and right now with the cheap 1.9 financing and the factor that they are making some good deals right now I think its the car to beat. Plus 26 mpg is always good. If you are worried about the seating take a look at the GL320 diesel.

I do not think you will have a problem with kids going between the captain's chairs to get to the third row. My daughter is 14 and she has no problem going through. Also, the center console is an option. You may also be able to remove the armrests for additional room. I think this will be a great choice for you. I have had mine for just over 1 year and 16,000 miles, and still love it. Good Luck!

I work in the plant and I can tell you that the armrest are standard if there is no rear center console. Now the rear center console is removable, hence you will have no armrest on the 2nd row captain seats. The only problem will be the base of the center console between the 2 seats. Let me know if you have anymore questions, I might can help you with.

I get your concern when you’re traveling with a big family, comfort and smart layout matter just as much as the destination itself. Easy movement inside the car, especially with kids and baby seats, can really change the whole experience. It actually reminded me of how important logistics are not just in cars, but in travel in general. I recently planned a silk road trip and realized the same thing if everything is not thought through in advance, even a great journey can turn stressful. While searching for options, I found a silk road trip route and decided to go for it. In my case, it worked out really well. The planning was clear, the structure made sense, and the whole experience felt smooth and comfortable, which is exactly what you want when dealing with long distances or multiple stops. It really suited my expectations. From my own experience, I’d say whether it’s choosing the right car or planning a silk road trip, the key is how well everything is organized. I tried it myself and got a very good result, so it’s definitely worth considering if you want a stress-free journey.
