2004 C230 Sedan ... rim size?
I am looking to purchase new rims and tires for my 2004 C230 sedan. Can anyone tell me what the largest size wheel is that will fit without suspension modification? I was told 19" by my local tire shop. I am currently running on the OEM wheels and tires. How bad will the ride be on 19's or 20's? Also, the car only has 21K miles and the rear treads are completely gone. I run Blizzaks in the winter. Why would an OEM Michelin tire only get 10K of tread life?
I have the 2003 c230K sedan and I was told that my car can squeeze in 20's on the lowest of profile tires. I am planning to do this very soon, so I will give you a heads up if the 20's actually do fit
The largest TUV approved fitment that I show is a 19" staggered setup. And even with this it is recommended to have the rear fenders rolled to prevent and possible rubbing issues. Lorinser's TUV approved specs in 19" for the W203 C-Class are:
8.5x19 ET31 (235/35R19) Front
9.5x19 ET31 (255/30R19) Rear
