Pricing Help requested
I couldn't figure out which forum would be best for this, since it is not technical and nothing much seems to happen in the SL forum.
What I've got is my Mom's 1987 560SL with about 107K miles. It has a few little mechanical things wrong (heat, antenna), which I will fix before selling. The cruise is inop, which I don't plan to fix unless I discover a common and cheap fix. She's had it since 92 or so, a two-owner, SC car (no rust). The paint is weak on the rear of the car. She had a minor accident a couple of years ago, so the front clip was repainted. New top, new tires, new brakes, exhaust, all maintenance records, refinished wheels, runs like a champ. The interior has some wear, the dash has cracks from the SC heat, but it's all intact and is acceptable (i.e. not worth replacing at this point).
Natch I'll post it here with some pics once I get the heat working and polish the paint, but I don't have a clue how to price it. A car this old is tough. I see folks asking low teens for cars with comparable miles, but I don't know if they actually sell for that. I'm hoping that a Southern car with records and great maintenance will overcome the cosmetics.
Car is gray with gray interior, includes hard top and stand.
Thoughts, suggestions?
Many thanks!
Michael
