I know, I know, it is nearly impossible to find, but I am looking for a mint condition (or pretty close) 86 or 87 300SDL, or an 84-85 300SD.

If you guys know of anything, please let me know.

go to www.mercedeshowroom.com. They have the nicest 1985 300SD on the planet. One owner, FL car and the gentlemen wrote down everything he ever did to it in the service book since day one with all the stamps +++. The car is imacculate. They also have other diesels in stock and specalize in older Mercedes.

He's expensive, especially given the miles on the car. He wants 13K is what I remember from talking to him.

 

Yes, their prices are on the high side but the cars are the best of the best. Make them a real offer. They are very easy to work with. I've seen it myself...it's nice and the miles are low for a 1985.

Also, I was really hoping to find a 300SDL, but they are VERY hard to come by in good condition with low miles. I really lucked out when I bought by 84 300SD with 81,000 miles in mint condition for just 4,000.

Hey guys, just wanted to give an update on my search.

I have found a mint condition 87 300SDL, which I was looking for, with a little over 80,000 miles and bought it. Patience is something that was never one of my strong points, but being patient paid off.

The car wasn't cheap, but with all the records and excellent maintenance, it was worth it.
