Up for sale is a 1993 300E 4matic. Hatch and Sons, a nationally renowned Mercedes repair shop in the Boston area, invested $28,000 in this car, asked for $21,000 for it, and sold it for $15,900 two years ago. It is two tone green, has custom installed cupholders, an alpine in dash head unit, and received a brand new $4,000 4matic system this summer. Throw away the blue book, this is the best 4matic you will find.

It has 111,237 miles on it, with regular scheduled service up to 187,500 miles. Massachusetts Mercedes professionals have told me that a car in this condition can last 225k+ miles.

Here are the parts that Hatch and Sons replaced or repaired at 79,000 miles for a total of $12,000 two years ago:
Head gasket, valve seal, motor mounts, new fuel line, drive train, swing bar, new tires, new rims, parking brake, alignment, left ball joint, front rotors/pads, CV boots, Thermostat, Exhaust, rear brakes, front lower ball, throttle housing assembly rotor, distributor cap, water pump, radiator, AC heater. The radiator, evaporator and water pump are currently in great condition.

I have references from Hatch and Sons, European Auto Solutions and Foreign Motors West for serious prospective buyers only. I am planning to move to NYC by the end of the year and I can't take this car with me. Given the uniqueness of a car in this condition, I am asking $8,500, or best offer.
